About this piece
Cut from a single piece of olive wood, with the grain left to show its own pattern rather than stained or sanded flat. Use it for bread and cheese beside the bottle, or as a cutting board that only gets better as oil works into the surface over time.
How to use it
Bring it out with bread, cheese and charcuterie beside the bottle, or use it every day as a cutting board. Cut from a single piece, it has no joins or glue, and every board shows its own grain. Over time, the oil that lands on it feeds the wood and makes it better-looking.
Care
Hand-wash with water and a little soap, dry it straight away, and never leave it soaking or put it in the dishwasher. Every so often, rub a few drops of olive oil into the surface with a cloth — olive wood is dense and loves oil, which brings out the grain and protects it. It deepens to a warmer tone with use.
With LYMANORA oil
Every Collection piece is chosen to sit beside our early-harvest extra virgin olive oil, with acidity down to 0.2%. Order it with the bottle in one go, or give it on its own to someone who already has their favourite oil at home.
Questions
- Can I cut on the board?
- Yes. It's both a serving and a cutting board, and olive wood only improves as oil works into the surface.
- Are all the boards the same?
- No. Each is cut from a single piece of olive wood with the grain left natural, so every one has its own pattern.
